Award Activities 2009 - 2010
Ingrid McClements Memorial Award: the Organsiing Committee has announced areas of work to be funded through the Ingrid McClements Memorial Award.
£500 was awarded to LGBT Youth to send representatives to a feminist conference. The delegates will be raising issues covered, and developing discussion, in their development work with young people.
£2000 was allocated to the FGM Aware group for work to raise awareness of, and to challenge, FGM within relevant communities. The Women`s Support Project will provide support in planning and delivering workshops in communities.
The Memorial Fund also contributed to the cost of the seminar to launch the Memorial Awards, on 28th October, with guest speaker Beatrix Campbell.
