Womens Support Project

Urgent Funding Appeal!

Unfortunately funding for our support service has been affected by local authority budget cuts.  Glasgow City Council has informed us that they will not fund our support service beyond 31st March 2010.

We believe that this support service is much needed, particularly in relation to supporting women whose children have been sexually abused.
We are pursuing alternative sources of funding and are also launching an appeal based on individual giving. Our appeal is based on securing 5000 donations of £20, although donations of any size are welcome.

What can you do to help?

Over the coming year we will be working with tthe Scottish
Government `Violence Against Women team` to support the
implementation of the VAW Training Strategy.  We will continue
to work to secure alternative funding to allow us to continue our
support service.

Update, October 2010

The individual appeal was launched on 27th January 2010.
We are happy to announce that the appeal has raised
£28,020 so far. In addition we have received a £25,000 donation,
making a grand total of £53,020

Thanks to all!
