Womens Support Project

Who Profits, Who Pays?

This is the fourth national conference organised by the Women’s Support Project to consider the extent and impact of prostitution, pornography and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation and to highlight the demand from men to buy sexual services as the driving force behind such exploitation.

This year’s event will address:

  • Grooming of children for sexual abuse via social networking sites.
  • Paying the Price: the impact of sexualisation and the normalisation of porn on children and young people
  • Feminism, consumerism, and sexual exploitation
  • The impact of pornography on relationships
  • Parents concerns about sexualisation of children & young people
  • Support for parents whose children have been sexually exploited.

This conference is particularly relevant for:

Mental health, sexual health, social work, addiction and homelessness services

Violence against women organisations & community activists

Researchers on violence against women, equality or gender

Criminal Justice personnel, Child Protection Officers & Family Support Staff
