FGM Aware: Sara's Story

06 Feb 15

6th February is designated as the International Day of zero tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation.

Women`s Support Project are very pleased to have launched a range of resources to support training and public education.  This includes a short animated film which has been developed in consultation with women survivors of FGM, and experienced practitioners.

The film aims to raise awareness about FGM and to increase skills and confidence amongst practitioners in addressing this complex issue

You can also view the film at www.fgmaware.org .  Additional resources including a training presentation and information on how to access support services will be available at this site in the near future
