Responses to Prostitution Law Reform consultation 2015

Jean Urquhart, MSP, has carried out a consultation on proposals to reform the laws around prostitution.  The consultation was launched on 8th September and closed on 8th December 2015.

Proposals include decriminalising the selling of sex in all settings, decriminalising brothel keeping, and repealing the Prostitution (Public Places)(Scotland) Act 2007 (commonly referred to as `kerb crawling` legislation.

Organisations working to address male violence against women have broadly welcomed proposals to decriminalise those selling sex, whilst expressing concern over other aspects of the proposals.

See below for a selection of responses.  We expect all responses to be available in due course via Jean Urquhart`s website  www.prostitutionreform.scot
