Training on violence against women

Understanding and responding to violence against women

10am - 1pm, Friday 13th October 2017
Adelphi Centre, 12 Commercial Road, Glasgow, G5 0PQ

This training is open to staff and volunteers from voluntary sector or community organisations working on equality issues and/or supporting disadvantaged groups, for example those working to support BME, Disabled, and LGBTI people, asylum and refugee communities, integration networks, ‘violence against women’ services, , homelessness, mental health and addiction services. Priority will be given to unfunded and low funded groups.

The course will look at definitions, root causes, the extent of the problem, common effects and barriers to getting help. Information will also be provided on national and local work on this issue, and on what we can all do to help.

There is no charge for this training. Places will be limited to two people from each organisation. If you would like to apply for a place please email jan@womenssupportproject.org.uk
