Human Trafficking and Exploitation

Action Area 2 of the Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy focusses on identifying perpetrators and disrupting their activity.

One area identified for improvement is for successful actions to be publicised, to send the message that Scotland is a country that is hostile to human trafficking and exploitation.

One of the actions the Scottish Government committed to take in the short term is to work with partners to ensure that convictions and victims’ experiences are publicised in Scotland, the UK and beyond, while ensuring that this publicity does not compromise the safety of victims or their families.

In order to achieve this aim the Human Trafficking Team worked with stakeholders to create a Human Trafficking and Exploitation Newsletter.
