Multi-Agency Training
The Women’s Support Project organises occasional multi-agency training and events on a range of violence against women issues. These events aim to raise awareness of the cause, extent, and impact of violence against women, and to increase worker’s confidence in identifying and responding to violence.
In-house Training & Events
We may also be able to provide trainers for `in-house` training on issues such as:
Gender based violence
Understanding gender, gender inequality and the causes of violence against women
Childhood sexual abuse
Definitions, extent, why children don’t tell, key awareness messages for children, services and resources.
Grooming for sexual exploitation: being aware of danger signs
The process of grooming, common means of grooming, warning signs, extent, services and resources
Supporting women whose children have been sexually abused
Understanding the needs of non-abusing parents, and the potential impact of child sexual abuse on the wider family
Raising awareness of the harm caused through prostitution
Definitions; causes and contributory factors; extent of the problem; current approaches; services and resources
We are happy to discuss additional training services, including `training for trainers`.
